In 2015, he started a new men’s barbershop chorus in London, Meantime Chorus. As a singer, Simon sings bass in Park Street, the 2014 National Barbershop Quartet Champion.
On his appointment, he said “I’m honoured to have been appointed Music Director for London City Singers. I believe the chorus has a really exciting future ahead and thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of that journey.”
Graduating with a degree of BA(hons) in Music, Simon brings a technical approach in sound production and vocal development for London City Singers. Hayley Nock, Team Coordinator, remarked “London City Singers has grown musically over the last two years and we’re keen to continue improving our vocal abilities. Simon is the perfect choice to lead our chorus to new levels of music-making through better understanding of sound production. We’re thrilled he’s accepted the post.”
