Our Volunteer Program is an immersion program customized for individual travelers, students, professionals, families, groups, or anyone with the desire to serve in rural villages in Uganda. The timetable you travel, your village destination, and the projects you may be involved with are all geared to your skills and interests, and the villages’ needs.

Volunteering in Uganda is a stimulating and provoking experience. The program enables you to absorb the fascinating Ugandan culture whilst sharing your knowledge and skills with the country. The project will provide an unforgettable eye opening experience for a gap year, vacation, spring break or career break for groups and individual travelers.

Be part of the team

Like no other country, Uganda represents the changing faces of recent African history. Behind the people’s optimism and the country’s beauties lie the horrors and ruins of a dark and gloomy past. However, Uganda is more than worth a visit – not just because of its awesome landscape and its incredible bio-diversity. It is simply moving to see how the people overcome the nightmares of the past and how they fight for a normal, settled life.

Our volunteer projects in Uganda are based in Mukono and surrounding districts. Our projects are basically working with children, youth, women and communities orientated and enable volunteers to work with rural villages in building and renovating schools, health centers, promoting basic primary education, sports and caring for children in our orphanage.

Orphanage Program: Work with orphans, help and learn from them… Share your experiences by teaching English and other subjects, play with them and care for them as if they were your own and get to know stories behind their faces. Imagine being there with them, what would you do… Come be part of this wonderful project.

-Teaching Program: Work with rural villages teaching English and Math, provide an education to these schools and children and give them a future. Many of children will want to learn many things from you; you are of course welcome to get to know them. Many smiles waiting ahead

-Building/Renovation Programs: Work in rural villages helping to establish and refurbish schools and water wells for these communities. A hands on program where volunteers take part in building and renovation projects in our rural communities where you work alongside members of the community where the project is located.. This work can include projects like the construction and refurbishing of schools, water system installation and also renovation work.

In general, you can do many things. Some volunteers have a very clear idea of the skills they bring and the activities they would like to engage in. Others only have a strong desire to help and interact with our people. No matter which category you feel you fall into, we are here to help you get ready to jump in and work on meaningful projects in Uganda.
