SAM Learning Launches Switch On

How SAM Learning is supporting schools with Progress 8 and 'Closing the Gap'
Dec. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Since 1995, SAM Learning has been improving grades, adding value and raising student attainment in schools around the world.

During the past 20 years SAM has continued to evolve and adapt to support the modern classroom and changing curriculums. With the launch of Progress 8, SAM has once again added more tools to support teachers to target intervention groups and start closing the gap.

‘Switch On’ combines bespoke, targeted support with advanced reporting and in depth development plans to raise attainment, re-engage and close the gap between disadvantaged students and other students in the school.

‘Teachers are under immense pressure to help students raise their grades as it is’ says company CEO David Jaffa. ‘And with Progress 8 just around the corner, we felt we had to add more to SAM’s offering. With Switch On, we have made sure that teachers can target those invention groups and low achieving students as easily as possible. We are very excited to be adding these features and the response from SAM schools has been overwhelmingly positive.’

Supported by independent data, and the only online service in the market to specifically support these groups, Switch On will raise the attainment of the lowest 20% of students by an average of 20.9 Capped Points. Furthermore, by supporting schools with the new Progress 8 measure, Switch On will not only ensure that teachers are able to add-value, increase aspirations and raise attainment but also work towards an outstanding Ofsted report.
