Sovereign Transport Truck Featured in 2016 Shell Rotella® Calendar

AKRON, Ohio - Dec. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- One of Sovereign Transport’s 15 rigs earned a coveted spot in the 2016 Shell Rotella® ‪‎SuperRigs‬ calendar.

The featured truck, which is the January image in the popular calendar, is Sovereign vice president and owner-operator Ed Bartoli’s 2003 Kenworth W900L. Bartoli has owned the truck for almost 8 years and has put 3/4 of a million miles on the vehicle.

“Everybody knows about the calendar and the trucks featured on it," Bartoli said. "There are a lot of beautiful trucks and trailers out there, and to know that I've made it is definitely a humbling experience. I'm very grateful to be included in the SuperRigs calendar.”

Bartoli’s truck was selected for inclusion in the calendar at the annual SuperRigs competition, an event at which over 70 of North America’s finest trucks competed for over $25,000 in cash and prizes and for a chance to be immortalized in the 2016 SuperRigs calendar.

A Kenworth Class 8 truck model, the Kenworth W900L is known for its long-nose style. The truck, popular with owner-operators, is still in production after more than fifty years.

“Making the calendar probably had a lot to do with my truck being an actual everyday working combo,” Bartoli said of the truck he drives himself every day.
