Queens County and Friends of Maple Grove is Hosting a World Premiere Book Launch

QUEENS, N.Y. - Dec. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- On January 13, 2016 Queens County and Friends of Maple Grove will be celebrating the world premiere release of the new book The i’Mpossible Project: Volume 1—Reengaging With Life, Creating a New You. Critics describe the book as a “Chicken Soup for the Soul for the new millennium.” Queens author, actor and speaker Josh Rivedal curated and edited the book. The event is open to the public and will feature author readings, a book signing, an author Q&A, a special world premiere music video, and a wine and cheese reception.

“Storytelling, is the beginning of every great movement,” says Rivedal. “Since 2011, I have told my story to more than twenty-thousand people in four countries to help others with mental health issues and suicide. Naturally, people started telling me their inspirational stories and so I created The i’Mpossible Project—a diverse book of authors and stories designed to entertain, educate, and to engage. Having been a proud New Yorker, and an Astorian, I wanted to make sure there were powerful voices from Queens in this book.”

Among the book’s fifty authors are Queens natives: Kenny Medrano, founder and chairman of the non-profit, Road to Greatness; Malini McDonald Singh, founder of Theatre Beyond Broadway; Carl Ballenas, educator and President of the board of directors of Friends of Maple Grove, and Audrey Dimola, Astoria based writer and poet and curator of the first-ever Queens Literary Town Hall.

The i’Mpossible Project... is also available at Amazon, Kindle, B&N, Books a Million and other major retailers with the ISBN number (Paperback) 978-0-9860964-9-5, (E-book) 978-0-9860964-8-8
