By: Action for Sick Children
STOCKPORT, U.K. - Dec. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- CHRISTMAS arrived by the parcel load at Stockport’s Stepping Hill Hospital last week when children’s charity workers with Cheshire based charity Action for Sick Children arrived bearing more than 150 gifts for young patients who will spend this Yuletide on the wards.

The record breaking delivery, including seasonally wrapped presents and a wide variety of toys, will be distributed amongst patients on the children’s wards for opening on Christmas Day.

“The huge generosity of our supporters has enabled us to ensure that no child at Stepping Hill will miss out on the sheer joy of opening their own Christmas present,” said Action for Sick Children Chief Executive Val Jackson, speaking from the charity’s High Lane, Stockport HQ.

“I’m absolutely delighted that we are able to deliver so many gifts because they will bring so much joy to their young recipients. Our supporters and staff have worked very hard to make Christmas particularly special for those young patients who can’t be home for Christmas this year. And I’m sure Santa will be delighted to help deliver the gifts on Christmas Eve.

“I also can’t thank our supporters enough for their backing in helping us deliver a little extra Christmas sparkle to those sick youngsters who need it most.”
