DAV and RecruitMilitary Kick off 2016 with Vet Job Fair in San Antonio on January 14

LOVELAND, Ohio - Dec. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- DAV and RecruitMilitary will produce an All Veterans Career Fair at Norris Conference Centers – San Antonio on Thursday, January 14, 2016. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

“RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment,” said President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson, a former Captain in the Marine Corps. “Just last year, 55% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair, and employers were expected to extend as many as 29,000 interviews and more than 9,000 job offers.”

In September of 2015, the DAV-RecruitMilitary San Antonio event connected more than 484 veteran job seekers with 57 exhibitors, including Lockheed Martin, L-3 Communications, JP Morgan Chase, and FedEx Ground. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 409 interviews and make up to 118 job offers as a result of that career fair.

RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006, and has held 12 events in San Antonio, drawing 6,485 attendees and 675 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country. RecruitMilitary will return to San Antonio to host two additional veteran career fairs in 2016.
