Local Restaurant Participates In Marine Corps Toys For Tots

HOLLAND, Mich. - Dec. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Local restaurant, Beechwood Inn & Coyote Café and their customers have teamed up with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots annual toy drive for many years. They are known in the area as a supporter of the program and a drop-off location for the toys.

Regular guests of BWI collected money for Toys for Tots this season, purchased toys on behalf of the donors and brought them to Beechwood’s drop-off location. “This year, guests of Beechwood Inn really made a big impact on the program,” states Russ Shilander, partner and manager of the restaurant. “One of our guests led the campaign this year and received over $700 in donations from customers of BWI. Our donation box is overflowing into the lobby with toys.”

Each year, from October – December, Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped toys and then distributes them as Christmas gifts to children in need. Toys for Tots campaigns are conducted in communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
