Asha Bhavan Centre To Celebrate Its 17th Foundation Day By Organising a Blood Donation Camp

HOWRAH, India - Dec. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Asha Bhavan Centre, a registered NGO whose special focus is on Children, women and persons with disabilities, is happy to announce that it will celebrate its Seventeenth Foundation Day on December 22, 2015, Tuesday by organising a Blood Donation camp followed by a cultural program in its head Quarter campus at Kathila, Uluberia.

The blood donation camp will start from 10:30am sharp followed by a cultural program in the afternoon. In the programme, the children with disabilities from ABC's 'Domionique Lapierre Home for children with disabilities'  will perform a few stage shows.

The NGO has invited all its valued donors, patrons, well-wishers and family members on this auspicious day for attending the programme.

Asha Bhavan Centre, which was started for the welfare of the children with disabilities 17 years before in 1999 with just two children at a remote village of Howrah District has today become a centre of holistic development. The journey was initiated by Mrs. Sukeshi Barui and inspired by Brother Gaston Dayanand and Mr. & Miss Domionique Lapierre.

The organisation is promoting rehabilitation services, providing opportunities and protecting the rights for the Children, Women and Persons with Disabilities in India. Thousands of people with disabilities get benefited and rehabilitated in this organisation. The social organisation puts its best efforts to take care of these people by providing them with residential care, nutritional support, special educational support, medical services, therapeutic support, vocational training, and Community Based Rehabilitation program as well as School education, non-formal education and many more things so that they can lead a better life in future.

Asha Bhavan Centre is recognized by the National Trust, State Government, & Ministry of Disability Affairs under MOSJ&E, Government. of India as the top institute for offering dedicated services to the PWDs. Over the last 15 years the organisation played a pioneering role in initiating and augmenting services for people with disabilities and endeavoured to meet the growing needs for children and adults with locomotor disabilities, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, autism, hearing impairment and multiple disabilities in the community.
