For those who bonded with Johnnie Kitchen and Brother Dog; struggled with her absentee mama; could smell the aroma of her cake-baking-solid-as-a-rock Granny Opal’s latest creation; drooled over Johnnie’s hunk-of-a-husband; felt the fear of sending a son off to a war zone…you will be be able to step back into their lives to see what happens next. Seven Wings to Glory takes you to Portion, Texas 2009 during a time of war in Afghanistan, and also of racial unrest on the home front, one which manifests itself in Johnnie’s personal life.
