By: Sissy Gamache PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder) is a severe anxiety disorder usually resulting from a traumatic life event. Although defined and recognized by doctors around the world, this has not always been the case. While the medical profession works toward establishing treatments to restore hope for a “normal” life for those who suffer from the disorder, it became evident to me that a story needed to be filmed. PTSD was created to showcase the deep and debilitating difficulties that individuals who suffer from this disease face every day of their lives. The angle chosen for this film was to tell a story of a young veteran’s long journey discovering and fighting against the darkest side of himself. PTSD is a dark film, but throughout his passage to hell, the hero will discover who he has become; and when facing death, will find the power to turn around and return to life. And now Sissy will get up close with director Cedric Godin and some of the cast to talk about this sensational new movie! Tonight 7:30pm EST on MNN (Manhattan Neighborhood Network) Channel 56 Time Warner Cable Manhattan and streamed LIVE on mnn.com and on thesissygamacheshow.com End
