The Aquitaine Group Celebrates the Holiday Season

BOSTON - Dec. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Get into the holiday spirit this season with the help of The Aquitaine Group, Boston’s award-winning restaurant group with seven restaurants in and around the Boston area.  With a diverse selection that offers something for everyone, each restaurant is preparing a festive evening on both Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24th, 2015, and on the ultimate celebratory evening, New Year’s Eve, Thursday, December 31st, 2015. All specials will be featured alongside each restaurant’s full dinner menu. Nurse that New Year’s hangover in style as certain locations will be offering New Year’s Day Brunch sure to ease the pain.

Aquitaine Bar á Vin Bistrot
A Parisian bistro nestled in Boston’s South End neighborhood, Aquitaine is the perfect spot for holiday festivities. This Boston staple offers French cuisine that stands the test of time. On December 24th, 2015 enjoy a la carte specials prepared by Chef de Cuisine Chris Robins from 5:00PM to 10:00PM such as Butter Poached Maine Lobster ($19.95) with vanilla beuree noisette and caramelized endive along with a main course of Diver Scallops ($33.95) with celeriac mousseline and caviar beurre blanc. On December 31st, 2015 toast to 2016 with dishes that include Paella Style Risotto ($31.95) lobster, mussels, shrimp and calamari salbitxada, available from 5:00PM to 11:00PM. The bar will be staying open to celebrate the New Year!  Aquitaine will also be opening for brunch on New Year’s Day, from 10:00AM to 3:00PM. Metropolis
This Mediterranean café is The Aquitaine Group’s premier location. With its romantic and cozy atmosphere, this hidden gem is the quintessential spot to toast to a new year of memories, especially if there is an air of romance in need of capturing. On December 24th, 2015 from 5:00PM to 10:00PM, savor classic dishes prepared by Chef de Cuisine Dolly Bourommavong, such as Pan Seared Venison ($28.95) butternut-apple puree, braised greens, roasted local mushrooms and Madeira sauce. On December 31st, 2015, enjoy standout dishes such as Deconstructed Beef Wellington ($33.95) filet mignon, truffled mushroom duxell, wilted spinach, pommes puree and red wine reduction.  Dinner will be served from 5:00PM to 11:00PM. Move to the bar and continue the celebration as Metropolis will stay open to serve guests through the New Year. Cinquecento
Step onto the beautifully lit streets of Rome at Cinquecento, a Roman trattoria with Executive Chef Justin Winters at the helm. On December 24th, 2015 from 5:00PM to 11:00PM, guests will enjoy a la carte selections such as Costolette di Manzo Brasate ($34.75) huckleberry braised short ribs, macomber turnips and crispy black trumpets. On December 31st, 2015 from 5:00PM to 11:00PM, share the New Year’s toast with Sformato di Foie Gras ($18.25) salt cured, blood orange marmellata, pistachio butter and egg bread. Gaslight Brasserie
Located steps away from Cinquecento, Gaslight is the classic neighborhood brasserie.  With its hand crafted Parisian zinc bar, reclaimed wood floors, mosaic tiles, beamed wood ceilings, nicotine stained walls and antique mirrors, Gaslight’s decor is what makes this the perfect location to spend the holidays.  On December 24th, 2015 from 5:00PM to 11:00PM, guests will be treated to a la carte specials from Chef de Cuisine Chris Healy, such as Hazelnut Crusted Sea Scallops ($32) beech mushrooms, Brussels sprouts and Sauternes honey jus.  On New Year’s Eve, December 31st, 2015 from 5:00PM to 12:00AM, Chef will serve dishes such as Lobster Vol au Vent ($15) roasted leeks, salsify and saffron vanilla soubise. Reservations are highly recommended, and can be made by calling 617-422-0224. Gaslight will also open New Year’s Day from 10:00AM to 3:00PM for a holiday brunch sure to soften the morning after.

La Motta’s Italian Specialties
La Motta’s is the Aquitaine Group’s newest neighborhood restaurant and pays homage to Italian-American restaurants of the mid-20th century, elevated for the tastes of this century but still genuine, satisfying and generously wholesome. On December 24th, 2015 enjoy a la carte specials from 5:00PM to 11:00PM such as Baccala Fritto ($8.50) with lemon and rosemary and Braciolone ($26.75) herb stuffed & braised beef with rigatoni. Ring in the New Year with indulgent dishes from Executive Chef Justin Winters such as the Black Trumpet Risotto ($24.50) pistachio and aged balsamic or save room for desert and savor the Panetone Bread Pudding ($8.25) with orange cream, available from 5:00PM to 12:00AM.  La Motta’s will be open for regular dinner hours on New Year’s Day. Aquitaine Dedham & Aquitaine Chestnut Hill
Both sister restaurants to the original Aquitaine Bar á Vin Bistrot, these dining destinations offer special three coarse options on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, including dishes such as Pumpkin Bisque ($13.95) pickled apple and octopus salad, sage and pomegranate seed, and Swordfish Roti ($29.95) roasted turnips, carrot puree and buerre rouge at Chestnut Hill, prepared by Chef de Cuisine RJ Conlin, on Christmas Eve, or Herb Crusted Chilean Sea Bass ($) roasted chicories, long beans, celeriac puree and red wine Jus lie and Spiced Poached Pear ($) almond cream, red wine raspberry gel and vanilla bean ice cream at the Dedham location on New Year’s Eve, prepared by Chef de Cuisine Josh Clark. On December 24th, 2015, both will be open from 4:00PM to 10:00PM and on December to 31st, 2015 4:00PM to 11:00PM. Stay to celebrate at either bar, as they will stay open Each location will open on New Year’s Day for brunch from 10:00AM to 3:00PM.
