Sheffield School Girl Designs Festive Card for Yorkshire Housebuilder

Dec. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- A school girl from Sheffield has scooped the top prize in a Christmas Card design competition hosted by Miller Homes Yorkshire and open to all young residents on its current developments across the county

The competition, which asked for a festive design to adorn the front of this year’s corporate Christmas Card, was judged by Miller Homes Yorkshire’s longest serving employee, Site Manager Simon Ryan, who chose Sienna Hudson, 11, from Sheffield as the winning design.

“The calibre of entries was really high with the children drawing great interpretations of their festive ideas,” said Simon. “However, it was Sienna’s design which really caught my eye epitomising a wholesome Christmas spirit and featuring a lovely home just like the ones we build.”

Sienna is the lucky winner of an ipad mini whilst runner-up - Jack Green, age 7, from Harrogate – receives a £20 book token.

“This is the second year that we have hosted this competition to design Yorkshire’s corporate Christmas card and our thanks go to all the children that entered,” said Jan Hanaby area sales manager Miller Homes Yorkshire. “Christmas is always a lovely time of year and we really enjoyed engaging with our youngest residents and their families.”

Sienna concluded, “I enjoy art and drawing and thought it was good to have a go and enter the competition. I wanted to draw a Miller home and make it look really Christmassy and I am so pleased that I won!”

The card will be sent to over 300 new Miller Homes residents that have moved into their homes during 2015.

Miller Homes currently has nine developments located across the region with properties ranging from one bedroom apartments priced from £69,995 to five bedroom homes priced up to £830,000.
