LOS ANGELES - Dec. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Manhattan Beach, CA – Runners of all ages and abilities can now channel their athletic efforts to help causes near and dear to their hearts by joining TEAM I RUN 4 HOPE, a running club launched by Hope So Bright, a new nonprofit that raises funds and awareness to help disadvantaged, underserved and at-risk youth.

The creation of Linda Sanders, an ultra marathon runner, philanthropist and community service volunteer, Hope So Bright and the running club are designed to provide runners with a means to support worthy causes of their choice through distance and ultra marathon running.

“I have run some of the most grueling races in the world for charity,” Sanders said.  “But I am only one person.  With the nonprofit supporting many runners, the positive impact that running can make as a fundraising vehicle will be multiplied many times over.  That is the concept behind TEAM I RUN 4 HOPE and Hope So Bright.”

Hope So Bright advocates for many youth causes.  The organization’s current awareness campaign centers on ADHD, which according to recent studies, affects almost ten percent of America’s youth.  Hope So Bright has launched a public campaign to bring awareness to the many protocols available to treating ADHD that don’t necessarily involve medication.

One of the premier kick-off events to bring awareness to this issue is the sponsorship of five internationally known ultra marathon running “Ambassadors” who will compete in the world-famous annual Marathon des Sables, a 156- mile run through the Sahara Desert that is often referred to as the toughest footrace on earth.

The inaugural TEAM I RUN 4 HOPE Ambassadors include: Harvey Lewis (US), Marco Olmo (Italy), Ricardo Mejia Hernandez (Mexico), Jason Schlarb (US), and Carlos Sa (Portugal), all running stars in their own rights.

Also in the works are running events sponsored by Hope So Bright as well as a camp to help train youth with autism in the sport of marathon running.

Participants are encouraged to visit the I RUN 4 HOPE Facebook page (www.facebook.com/irun4hope) to upload photos and share the cause they are running for.  Participants can learn more and purchase creatively designed TEAM I RUN 4 HOPE T-shirts from the Hope So Bright website at www.hopesobright.org.

Hope So Bright is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization with the mission to provide financial support to community nonprofit organizations that provide programs and services to disadvantaged, under-served and at-risk youth.
