Unique Walker Writes Yandy Smith Harris an Open Letter

WASHINGTON - Dec. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Unique Walker is the visionary behind The Kingdom Chics Organization, and launched this sisterhood one year before her husband was sentenced to 12 years in prison on a federal drug charge. Although she didn't agree with all of his choices, she made the decision to stand by her husband's side during his restoration period, and to make sure that he still has a heavy presence in the lives of their two sons. Her number one goal is to encourage other wives to do the same, so when Yandy Smith Harris was faced with a similar situation, she decided to write her an open letter.

Dear Yandy Smith Harris,

When the news broke about Mendeecees being sentenced to eight years in prison, initially my heart broke for you and your family. However, as a wife of an incarcerated husband, I began to smile knowing that a woman of such great leadership, integrity, and loyalty would be showing wives around the world, what it looks like to faithfully STAND in her marriage! You have already proven that you will honor the vow of "In good times and in bad," but be prepared for the people that will shame and judge you, for why your husband is being restored. "The more wives that trust God, and stand with their husbands through the restoration process, the less broken families there will be," states Walker. "By the age of 11, I had lost both of my parents to the streets, so I will continue to honor my vows for the sake of my family."

Walker launched her "Bibles over Bags," movement with the help of several celebrities such as Erica Campbell, Michelle Williams, Tiny Harris, Coko from SWV, and Fantasia to help spread the message that your desire to live a righteous life should be greater than your desire for material possessions.
