Helpful Hints for your Christmas Market Stall

Maximise your brand, display, theme, pricing and space when launching a market stall this Christmas

Dec. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Maximise your Brand

Taking the plunge to launch your own market stall or pop-up shop over Christmas is an exciting prospect. As a newbie to the retail world this is your ‘shop window’. It is your chance to impress with the added bonus of being a great time of the year to sell your unique products. Make sure your brand is fully utilised throughout the customer experience from packaging and carrier bags down to the display your goods for all to see. Take the tricks of larger retail brands, by reflecting your brand throughout the whole layout and theme. Therefore if you are appealing to the modern and edgy vibe, make your display simplistic, uncluttered with perhaps chrome or silver display features. If you are trying to go for a more urban feel, think rustic, blacks and more neutral greys, browns and creams. The colours of your logo will give you a starting point of where to go with palettes, what blends well and coordinates with your stylisation.
By harmonising more carefully, potential customers will be more intrigued to buy and it will leave a lasting memory of your stand.

Banners and Business Cards

As with all good marketing your stall or shop is the ideal place to shout about yourself. A mobile banner provides an ideal visual focal point and an added professionalism about your stall. Incorporate your logo, a bold design and listing ways to contact you in the future should all be key components. In turn make any written design clear, bold and easy to read.
Encourage customers to remember your business once they’ve left with branded business cards, and make it easy. Simple business card displays not only give an emphasis for easy pick-up, they keep cards clean, neat and tidy rather than having cards disorganised and scattered around your stall which will put customers off.

Display Theme
To some extent this will be your angle on Christmas. However by choosing a few coordinated elements to work with will help to streamline your ideas and simplify your display. Think about who your target customer is, this is generally shown in your brand objectives but should be carried through in your theme too. Therefore if you have a high-value product, high-end brand, your audience will probably suit a more sophisticated display. Perhaps use black display stands for a touch of elegance. Add a bit of festivity with traditional coloured decorations or luxury golds, silvers which always coordinate nicely with black.
For more young and vibrant displays clear acrylic displays are superb. They will not only provide a complementary factor so not to outperform your products, they allow space and light through your display. Keeping your customers eye roaming and captivated throughout the stall. Sprinkle the sparkle with a few well-chosen Christmas decorations to suit and you’ll reap the rewards.

Price Tags

Clearly label all your goods, this could be a deciding factor for buying. Not everyone likes to ask what a price might be, make it easy, while reducing the chance of losing out on a sale.
As with the rest of your stall, keep in mind your display and brand ethics and style to match. It looks far more professional to print your labels if possible and match fonts accordingly. However if you are going for a shabby-chic look, then hand-written ones might be more favourable. The key point again being; make it clear and legible.

Think Outside of the Stall

Maximising space is paramount. Plan your stall before you set up in regards to space and know your boundaries. If you can grab a couple of extra inches, take it and use it to your advantage.
Is there room for a floor standing leaflet holder or portable stands? Is there a wall to place mobile shelving in front? Depending on your product type, could you fit a clothes rail in your allocated zone?
You may want to discard with convention and refigure your table to accommodate extra display structures. Nevertheless, this extra space and display area could make all the difference to the amount of stock you can arrange, in turn, increasing your sales potential.
