PODS® & Toys “R” Us® team up to help underprivileged children

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 1, 2015 - PRLog -- PODS Enterprises, LLC (http://www.pods.com/) is teaming up with Toys “R” Us^® to help collect toys on behalf of the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Program to bring joy to Southern California children. For two Saturdays in December, PODS containers will be on site at four Los Angeles and Orange County Toys “R” Us^® locations to accept new, unwrapped toy donations.  Local radio stations and popular on-air talent will be hosting live remotes to increase awareness of these toy drives.

Those who would like to support these disadvantaged children this holiday season, will have the opportunity to drop off toy donations to the PODS containers on the following dates, times and locations:

Saturday, Dec. 5 – Live 105.5 Remotes at the following Toys “R” Us^® locations

·         8:30 - 11:30 a.m. at 7212 Edinger Ave. Huntington Beach, Calif. 92647

·         1 - 4:00 p.m. at  6245 Topanga Canyon, Woodland Hills, Calif. 91367

Saturday, Dec. 12 – Live 100.3 Remotes at the following Toys “R” Us^® locations

·         12 - 3:00 p.m. at 11460 Porter Ranch Drive, Porter Ranch, Calif. 91326

·         12- 3:00 p.m. at 16040 Sherman Way, Van Nuys, Calif. 91406

PODS is now in its sixth year of working with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots. PODS provides containers to help move, store and distribute the toys for children in need that are collected during holiday toy drives. In addition, this year PODS has joined with another long-time national Toys for Tots partner, Toys “R” Us^®, to increase Toys for Tots awareness in select LA markets.

In 2014, PODS provided an estimated $380,000 worth of services and the use of 516 containers to the U.S. Marine Corps toy drive across the United States.

Since its inception 68 years ago, the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program has distributed more than 494 million toys to 230 million less fortunate children across the United States who might not otherwise receive anything during the holiday season.
