Follow on Google News | GeoComm Announces the Retirement of Kathy Liljequist, 9-1-1 GIS Industry Expert & Longtime EmployeeBy: GeoComm Through her 19 years at GeoComm, Kathy has worked on hundreds of GIS mapping projects for 9-1-1 applications where she helped develop and implement customized training programs. She holds a master’s degree in Geography, is a certified GIS professional, and has presented at countless state, regional, and national public safety industry conferences. In addition, Kathy has been active in several industry associations including: • National Emergency Number Association (NENA) • Association of Public Safety Communication Officials (APCO) • National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC) • Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) • MidAmerica GIS Consortium (MAGIC) Kathy has also served on various NENA NG9-1-1 workgroups and was recognized for her dedication to them at the recent NENA Development Conference.
