Visit Kerala 2015 which has been announced by Kerala tourism department is mainly focusing on incentives, cultural festivals, meetings, weddings, conferences and other special events. Spice routes, muziris heritage, responsible tourism and Ayurveda are being aggressively promoted by Kerala tourism as part of Visit Kerala 2015-16 with a vision to promote Kerala as a tourist hub
Abad hotels and resorts conducted road shows as a part of visit Kerala 2015 campaign to educate the travel partners about the campaign as well as to provide information. Group has recently launched houseboats which will operate from Alappuzha the “Venice of the east”. The backwaters and inland waterways are the best tourist attraction in Kerala.
A house boat cruise in these backwaters is a memorable experience. Guests can choose a day cruise, or overnight stay. Canoe boating and fishing activity is also provided to the guests on request.
