One of the most beautiful tea sets we have owned. Made by historic Baltimore maker Heer-Schofield. This set comprises tip-kettle on stand (H 17 1/2 in.), coffeepot (H 13 1/2 in.), teapot (H 12 1/2 in.), creamer (H 9 1/4 in.), covered sugar (H 9 in.), and waste bowl with gilt-wash interior (H 6 3/4 in.).

All pieces large with bracket handle, and dome foot and cover with twig finial. Chased architectural scenes on front and back: turreted castles, windmills, and bridges. Also, dense and sculptural flowers on honeycomb ground, and ram's head mounts.

Hallmark includes no. 7004. Excellent condition with fine definition and patina. Total weight (silver only): 184 troy ounces.

With: Wood chest (H 27 1/2 x W 41 x D 24 1/2 in.) Chest is trapezoidal with curved and hinged cover. Sumptuous exterior has fancy wood marquetry veneer and interior is fitted with red felt. Loose and heavy wrought iron ring handles make it easy for the footmen to carry.
