By: Stanley Handling Ltd

HARPENDEN, U.K. - Nov. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Stanley Handling http://www.stanleyhandling.co.uk will hope to go one better than it did in 4 of the previous 5 years, (when it was nominated for the FLTA Awards of Excellence), and go on to clinch the winner’s prize in the safety category, (other categories include Environment and Innovation) where the new range of ROBUR Pedestrian Counterbalanced Stackers has been nominated for 2016.

On 27th February 2016, the FLTA will reveal who the winners are in their awards for excellence for the past year. In terms of the industry itself (Materials Handling) this is a most sought after and most prestigious prize to be awarded. The idea behind the awards is to give official recognition to products that reach standards of excellence throughout the fork lift truck industry. The event itself has grown over the years as more and more companies unveil worthy products and the night certainly has an international flavour with not only winners coming from various parts of the Globe but sponsors too.

About the Nominated Product

Robur’s new range of pedestrian counterbalance trucks (SBC XTS 600KG - 2500KG) has been designed with safety in mind, and is one of the smallest pedestrian machines on the market today.

State of the art technology is fitted as standard, with turning cutback speed control to prevent load movement when turning corners, touch responsive power steering to make operating effortless, and load level speed settings which slow the truck drive operation when loads are raised high in the air to aid safer lifting.

Also fitted as standard is an operator creep speed so drivers can control the machine in very tight areas with safety in mind.

Stanley Handling has been in the materials handling industry for more than half a century since it was formed by Norman Stanley back in 1948. To this day, the company remains very much a family run business. Although the business started off marketing a hand operated hydraulic tool and die handler that was used in press shops, it has massively evolved and now produces a varied range of equipment for the materials handling industry, especially for those in the retail, manufacturing and distribution sectors.
