HWA Readies For StokerCon 2017
Horror Writers Association Signs A-List Guests of Honor For Convention

Guests of Honor for StokerCon 2017 include:
George R.R. Martin, author of The New York Times bestselling series A Song of Ice and Fire; screenwriter for Game of Thrones, the HBO series based on his books
Elizabeth Hand, multiple World Fantasy Award, Nebula Award, and Horror Guild Award winning author of the Cass Neary crime novels
Chuck Wendig, The New York Times bestselling author of Star Wars: Aftermath, and The Heartland Trilogy; prolific blogger at www.terribleminds.com
Peter Crowther, award-winning author, editor, and publisher; author of The Forever Twilight Series; founder of PS Publishing, the award-winning genre publisher of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy
Bill Bridges, award-winning writer and narrative designer of numerous games; co-creator and developer of the Fading Suns science-fiction universe; developer of the horror RPG World of Darkness
HWA President Lisa Morton cited overwhelming interest in StokerCon 2016 as the catalyst for preparing the following year’s convention.
“Last May, when we announced the launch of the inaugural StokerCon, the response from HWA members and the general public exceeded our expectations,”
Morton also promised more big names and exciting details for StokerCon 2017, which is scheduled for April 27-30, 2017 at the Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach, CA.
“We’ll be announcing more in the coming months,” Morton said, adding, “but as excited as we are for 2017, our central focus is introducing the world to StokerCon 2016.”
