Sterlite Copper Celebrates Children’s Day

THOOTHUKKUDI, India - Nov. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Sterlite Copper celebrated Children’s day in a grand manner at MGR Park, Thoothukudi here on 19.11.2015.

The children’s day was celebrated for Vedanta Khushi Child Care Centre Children. Khushi Child Care Centres are benefitting 343 children by providing nutritional security, health care and nursery education and thereby ensuring adequate nurturing and transformation. This function was inaugurated by Mrs Geetha Ramesh, Director, Kiddies World in the presence of Capt. Sonica Muraleedharan, Head HR, Sterlite Copper, Mr Senthil Kannan, Confederation of Indian Industry - Vice President, Thoothukudi District and Dr R Kailasam, Head CSR and Chief Medical Officer, Sterlite Copper.

The function was kick started with the plantation of rose sapling by the children along with the guests. Subsequently, the children exhibited their cultural talents in a colourful function. Nearly 600 people encompassing the parents, tutors, project partners and various CSR project coordinators witnessed the function.
