LAS VEGAS - Nov. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Lee Canyon (http://www.leecanyonlv.com/), formally known as the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, opens for the 2015/16 winter season on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015. The resort will open at 9 a.m. and lifts will run until 4 p.m. On opening day many of Lee Canyon’s amenities will be offered including guest services, where season passholders can pick up passes, snowtubing park, Bighorn Grill, Lee Canyon Sports, and The Bristlecone Bar. The resort strongly encourages guests to take advantage of savings of approximately 35 percent by purchasing lift tickets online and in advance at www.leecanyonlv.com. Guests can also purchase tickets onsite for a $70 walk-up rate. Tickets for 90-minute snow tubing sessions are $20 and include inner tube rental. Tubing tickets are available online as well.

Starting this season, Lee Canyon will be managing the operation of the McWilliams campsite, Foxtail Snowplay and the Old Mill Picnic areas. In addition, Lee Canyon continues with its $35 million master development plan that to date has included two new quad chair lifts and a snow tubing area to the resort. The plan is part of Lee Canyon’s broader vision to create a year-round resort and will expand the number of trails to 50 and lifts to 10 over the next 10 years.

“Our goal has always been to offer our guests a high quality winter recreation experience and with the addition of the McWilliams, Foxtail and Old Mill recreation and snow play areas, we are able to ensure there is something for everybody to enjoy on the mountain,” said Kevin Stickelman, Lee Canyon’s president and general manager. “As an El Niño year, weather predictions look to offer our community and its guests an extraordinary snow play season.”

Weather permitting, Lee Canyon’s winter season is expected to run through Sunday, April 4, 2016. For more information on Lee Canyon, visit www.leecanyonlv.com.
