ASHBURN, Va. - Nov. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Ashburn, Virginia – November 20, 2015 Ask any college athlete their favorite part of NCAA athletics and you’re bound to hear a common response: Being a part of a team. The friendships forged in college athletics last a lifetime. But until now, that team experience has taken place entirely offline, at practice, during recruiting and on long bus rides to competitions.

LemonAid (http://lemonaidapp.co/) – a newly launched iOS and Android app, designed for NCAA swimmers, coaches and incoming high school athletes – is helping bring NCAA team culture online. It is a complete platform for incoming freshmen, student-athletes and coaches.

Using LemonAid, high school swimmers can match message coaches and potential teammates, helping to simplify the recruiting process. Coaches can use LemonAid to recruit and scout incoming freshman and communicate with their current rosters. Current NCAA athletes can match message teammates and high school recruits.

Since launching earlier this year, LemonAid has expanded its features for current NCAA athletes and incoming high schoolers. Now, current NCAA athletes and their potential future teammates can connect.  This connection helps LemonAid better ‘match’ high school athletes to their best college; the more matches an athlete has with a school, the higher that school will appear in the users’ “deck”. The result: High school athletes can better gauge which schools they are connected with.

Plus, the expanded badge system empowers all athletes to further develop their athletic, academic and social profiles within LemonAid. Now, athletes can display badges for academic feats and on-field athletic achievements. The badges are vetted by their current coach or club, and quickly promote those achievements to potential NCAA coaches.

LemonAid (http://lemonaidapp.co/) (http://lemonaidapp.co/) is FREE for athletes and coaches, with paid features available.  To download the app, visit the Apple App Store: http://apple.co/1O1Y2sj or Google Play: https://goo.gl/ZzGhUf.

About LemonAid App: LemonAid was co-created by former NCAA student athletes Eric Knight and Nate Boyle.  They conceived the app drawing upon their experience as collegiate athletes and coaches. Eric didn’t receive much interest, but was determined, eventually walking on at George Mason University.  Nate was an All-American and NCAA Champ at Auburn who would go on to coach at every level the sport has to offer. LemonAid was created to streamline recruiting and share the collegiate athletic experience.
