JACA Architect's Design of Hybrid OR, Heart and Vascular Center Open at Charlton Memorial Hospital

FALL RIVER, Mass. - Nov. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- JACAArchitects (www.jacaarchitects.com), one of New England’s premier healthcare-exclusive architectural firms, announced today that the Harold and Virginia Lash Heart and Vascular Center, featuring a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room, opened on October 22 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Mass.  JACA Architects designed the 6,700-square-foot, multi-level building.

The hybrid OR is a cardiovascular surgical theatre equipped with advanced medical imaging devices to enable minimally invasive surgery while bringing together doctors of different disciplines in the same operating room.  The hybrid OR will support Southcoast Health’s structural heart procedures, vascular surgery and endovascular medicine.

Bill Epp, Associate Principal at JACA Architects, oversaw the project in conjunction with Associates Matt Bluette, who led the design for the hybrid OR functioning and layout, and Matt Tharp, who led construction observation.
