OAK LAWN, Ill. - Nov. 17, 2015 - PRLog -- On Tuesday, December 1, Park Lawn will once again participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day of charitable giving. Charities encourage philanthropy among their friends and donors and celebrate generosity.

Park Lawn is encouraging friends and donors in the community to make their year-end, tax deductible gift online through our website on Tuesday, December 1. To support our efforts, an incremental increase between a gift made in 2014 and 2015 will be matched by The Coleman Foundation up to $20,000.00! For example, if in 2014 you donated $50.00 and in 2015 you donate $75.00 The Coleman Foundation will match $25.00.  As an incentive to the first time donors, The Coleman Foundation will match your gift dollar-for dollar.

In addition, an anonymous donor will match the first $5,000.00 donations made online on December 1.

Money raised from #GivingTuesday will support Park Lawn’s new Discovering CHOICE (Creating Heartfelt Options in the Community) Employment Program. The program will embrace the concept of “employment first.” This concept presumes all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can and should have opportunities to work in the community. A selection of Park Lawn program participants will move into the community for the purpose of developing/expanding social networks through employment and volunteer opportunities.

Visit: on December 1 and join us in making a difference in the lives of hundreds of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
