She shares a busy calendar and her readers often wonder how she has time for her next literary effort. The truth is . . . its a secret.

- Horror Fest (www.hammondhorrorfest.org) known as HHF, provides an annual community project for artists of all mediums to showcase their work in an alternative celebration of the arts, while benefitting local arts organizations. Started in October 2011, the HHF embraces contributions, tastes, and cultural energies that local professional and student artists bring to this region. The goal of this festival is to inspire local artists to get involved with their community in the spirit of Halloween, and will do so by welcoming a spread of performances and exhibitions of art including, but not limited to: theatre, music, visual arts, dance, poetry/spoken word, and film.

- Freaky Film Night - held 8 October 2015 at Wyatt’s Comics and Cards provides a safe venue to costume and share in the sport of Halloween and Fall festivities, held at: 14203 W University Ave, Hammond, LA 70401.

- Zombie Fashion Show - (http://www.hammondarts.org/home) - held 9 October 2015 at the Hammond Regional Arts Center: festivities include a Zombie Fashion Show and competition created by local designers, a dark and twisted choreographed dance piece by the La LA Tribal belly dancing troupe, a Horror-Themed Arts Market, music, bunches of raffle prizes, and, of course, plenty of dancing! Attire involved costume or formal with a twist of Horror. Masks were required for entry. East Thomas St., Hammond, LA 70401

- Seven Legends of Louisiana - held 10 October 2015: Alpha Psi Omega presented an annual 24-hour theatre event for their Horror Festival. From the makers of 7 SIGNS OF THE APOCALYPSE (HHF 2013), 7 TWISTED TALES (HHF 2012), and 7 DEADLY PLAYS MADE IN A DAY (HHF 2011) came their latest adventure into original works of theatre. A 24 hour theatre event occurred, which meant 24 hours to write, rehearse, add technical aspects, and then perform! Location: Ralph R. Pottle Music Building Auditorium, 500 Western Ave, Hammond, LA 70402.

- Spooky Empire (www.spookyempire.com) - held 24 to 26 October 2015: Spooky Empire brings it bigger and better the next year! Each show is more monstrous than the last. And, for 2015, Lyn Gibson was not ony a vendor but also a presenter for Spooky Empire. The name describes it perfectly; it is THE ULTIMATE weekend for horror fans of all ages! Where else can you meet and mingle with your favorite horror movie and TV stars, buy any collectible you can imagine from your choice of over 200 vendors and artists, see new and up and coming films as well as your old favorites, take part in one of the largest Zombie Walks, get tattooed by some of the best artists from around the world, and of course party ‘til your heart’s content…or until you puke…and that doesn’t even list half of the events that go on during this non-stop weekend of horrors.

You may be asking yourself, "Those are in the past? What's happening today?" The fact is there is much more to come. First, and foremost, Lyn's books are enjoyed throughout the calendar year - not just during the season of All Hallow's Eve.
