Follow on Google News | Businesses and Educators Collaborate to Educate Austin ChildrenBy: Supply the Teachers Supply the Teachers is an initiative between the Austin Independent School District and Business Voices, a project of the BNI Foundation. Dr. Ivan Misner and Beth Misner created the BNI Foundation in 1998 to provide grants for schools. In 2014, the Misner’s saw that needs are so great that grants alone are not enough. To solve the tough issues of our time, the business community needs to contribute not only money, but time and talent as well. Business Voices was created to accomplish that goal. Dr. Misner, founder of BNI and known as the “Father of Modern Networking” uses the term Noble Networking to describe what Business Voices is all about. BNI trains business people to use networking to create more profitable business. Though Business Voices, the power of networking will bring business and community together to solve problems at the grass roots level. Guest at the event will enjoy live music, heavy hors d'oeuvre, beer and wine along with the opportunity to learn more about how Business Voices is making a positive impact on local schools. The following local business are already made a contribution: Kristi Krauss, who heads up the Business Voices initiative in Austin says: “Our Austin Business Voices movement is opening a conduit between local businesses and the schools and educational organizations for an unprecedented flow of resources.” End
