San Antonio Nerd Night presents November Nerd Night Benefiting the Elf Louise Christmas Project

SAN ANTONIO - Nov. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- San Antonio Nerd Night presents November Nerd Night Benefiting the Elf Louise Christmas Project

San Antonio, TX – San Antonio Nerd Night is proud to announce its inaugural Nerd Night gaming event, taking place at Magic Beans Gaming Cafe on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 6:00 pm and benefiting the Elf Louise Christmas Project.

San Antonio Nerd Night is thrilled to partner with the Elf Louise Christmas Project for the group’s first event. Magic Beans Gaming Café has donated space and representatives from the Elf Louise Christmas Project will be in attendance. Planned activities include board game tournaments, Magic: The Gathering Standard Draft, various RPG demonstrations, a raffle and open gaming.

The event is free to attend. San Antonio Nerd Night will be accepting donations for Elf Louise all night. Bring an unwrapped toy for a child ages 0-12. The greatest need for toys is for the youngest children. No guns or simulated weapons allowed. Gifts should be new and unwrapped. Cash and check donations also accepted. Magic Beans Gaming Café is located at 15139 Bulverde Rd #103, San Antonio, TX 78247.

“The games we play build relationships and friendships among the people who play together. Our goal at San Antonio Nerd Night is to take that one step further, and project the goodwill and generosity of the gaming community onto the San Antonio area at large. I couldn’t be more excited to launch this project,” said Stephanie Newman, founder and organizer of San Antonio Nerd Night.

ABOUT SAN ANTONIO NERD NIGHT
San Antonio Nerd Night is a group of tabletop gamers working together to change their community by “Gaming for Good.” Gamers have a unique perspective on working together due to the games they play. Game nights foster community, strengthen families and build relationships and friendships among the people who play together. San Antonio Nerd Night will partner monthly with a San Antonio non-profit or charity with a focus on social change.

ABOUT ELF LOUISE

The Elf Louise Christmas Project is a 501 (C) (3) Non-profit organization staffed by all volunteers and funded by donations only. 98 cents of each dollar donated goes directly to the purchase and delivery of the toys. The Elf Louise Christmas Project relies solely on the help of donations from grass roots San Antonio and from businesses that want to share their blessings at Christmas. People can also donate toys, but since Elf Louise needs over 60,000 gifts annually, we have to purchase many of them to meet the need of over 19,000 families. Their current budget is over $316,000. Those donations ARE 100% deductible.
