By: U.S. Pain Foundation
Working to harness the strengths of both organizations, U.S. Pain Foundation and Wings for Warriors will work closely together to meet the needs of veterans living with pain by increasing advocacy and awareness efforts, educating others about the long-term consequences of inadequate care, and providing resources to veterans and their families. Members will have greater access to guidance and counseling for wounded combat veterans living with pain and post-traumatic stress disorders.
“The work Wings For Warriors is accomplishing for wounded combat veterans is inspiring and needed,” said Paul Gileno, President and Founder of U.S. Pain Foundation. “Our partnership with Wings For Warriors will help to better serve the needs of veterans living with pain."
"I have witnessed first-hand how impactful the U.S. Pain Foundation's advocacy can be forhas on people suffering from pain,” said Anthony Ameen, Founder and CEO of Wings For Warriors. “My hope is for this partnership to have the same impact on veterans and their families. Due to their flawed healthcare system, they are in need of our support."
The collaboration will expand U.S. Pain and W4W veteran events and initiatives. One such project will be the 2016 “Veterans In Pain” INvisible Project. This partnership will meld the veteran pain world and civilian pain world in a photographic display that will travel to cities across the nation.
