The worlds of art and fashion have always shared a common bond and it is even more true today with fashion becoming the focus of an increasing number of museum exhibitions and a multitude of artists now collaborating with famous labels, the distinct line that once separated fashion and art is more blurred. Their relationship continues to grow, to adapt, influencing each other, reflecting the trends of our present day.

Today Artemisia Gallery is proud to present “When Fashion Meets Art “ showcasing a group of French artists whose artworks were influenced by these two worlds.

In 1965,  Yves Saint Laurent ‘s Mondrian collection of dresses was inspired by the Dutch artist Piet Mondrian. The fashion designer’s phrase was “I tried to show that fashion is art”

One of our artists, Nicolas Saint Gregoire is reinterpreting YSL collection and sharing today the same spirit with his beautiful dresses sculptures in plexiglas and light.
