Free MTR Rides for Elders on Senior Citizen’s Day

Nov. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- To support Senior Citizen’s Day on 15 November 2015 (Sunday), the MTR Corporation is pleased to offer free rides on all MTR journeys (excluding Airport Express, East Rail Line First Class and journeys to and from Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations) to Elder Octopus cardholders aged 65 and above.  No fare will be deducted when senior citizens use their Elder Octopus to enter and exit ticket gates in the MTR.  This is the twelveth consecutive year that the MTR has supported this worthy cause.

“Senior citizens have played a crucial role in bringing prosperity to Hong Kong over the years.  In addition to our contribution to the concessionary fare for seniors, we are offering a day of free rides to encourage them to participate in community activities or visit their family and friends,” said Ms Linda So, Corporate Affairs Director of MTR Corporation.
