By: Gokoku Sushi Gokoku Sushi teamed up with Cherry Company, Sake and Japanese food importer and distributor in Hawaii for its new Kubota Sake Sampler. Manju and Hekiju are classified in the highest grade of Sake, Junmai Daiginjo while Genshu is in Junmai Ginjo grade. Only top 3.3% sake label is classified in Jumai Daiginjo and Jummai Ginjo combined. “This is why I call it the ultimate sake sampler.” says Executive Chef Katsuhisa Inoue. To match with the Sake sampler, Gokoku launched new one-bite Otsumami Trio; Shuto with Seafood Sashi, Egg Yolk MISO ZUKE, and Uzaku, Unagi with pickled cucumber, Tofu. “Shuto is salted & fermented Bonito stomach. In Japanese Kanji letter, it means Sake & Steal. Some say it match with Sake so good that you want to even steal sake to enjoy.” Inoue continues.
