CSR event held at IPER - "Divine Hands"

BHOPAL, India - Nov. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- The CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Community of IPER UG Students organized an event “Divine Hands” in campus on 31st October, 2015. From the past 20 years, IPER has been the most preferred and the Best Business School in Central India providing courses in management and commerce. The event was specifically structured for providing social support to self as well as under privileged students of Government schools where there are dearth of facilities like infrastructure and entertainment.

Students of UG took part in this event wholeheartedly and extended their cooperation in making the program a great success.

The event started with the auspicious lamp lighting by Chief Guest Shri T. S. Bawal, Chief Coordinator, M. P. Patanjali Shakti Peeth and special Guest Shri Vikas Gautam, Patanjali Shakti Peeth, accompanied by Dr. Upasana Sharma, HOD IPER UG Commerce (B.Com Hons., B.Com Economics, B.Com Foreign Trade, B.com Insurance and B.Com Sales and Advertizing), and Dr. Trupti Dave, HOD Management (BM-MAM and BBA).

A yoga session was held in the guidance of Shri Bawal for the students of the College. It was a great learning session for the students and faculty members of this college by way of the participating in performing various Aasanas shown by the Guests. Asanas like Om Mantra, Pranayam, Hastee, Kapal Bhati, Vyayaam and Anulom-Vilom Pranayaam were performed. The guest quoted Lord Krishna and said “If you do Yoga, you will get energy, with yoga you will remain calm and cool because Yoga is very powerful”.

The session was followed by tree plantation near the new building of IPER UG. Students were too happy when they were informed that they will be doing the plantation. There was so much enthusiasm in participating in it that several students apart from those who had given their names earlier also wanted to plant the Ashoka saplings, made ready by the gardeners. Watering the saplings was also done by the students along with poses for camera. Students especially appreciated the gesture of college management for giving them chance to plant the saplings.

Thereafter all under graduate students of IPER College were taken to Jan Shiksha Kendra, Government Madhyamik Shaala, Keerat Nagar, and a block of Obaidullahganj in District Raisen for entertaining the students of the middle school from class 6th to class 8th comprising of both boys and girls.

The college students conducted games dividing the school students into two classes, with one class playing “Tower Make Power” and other class played “Blind Communication” simultaneously. In the first game a group of school students were supposed to make tower with the help of balloons. The school students were exited to blow balloons and then join them together with help of tapes to build a tower. There were four groups who participated in this game. The winner group was decided on the basis of longest tower made by them using more number of balloons than any other group.

In the second game one of the school students was blind folded and the other took names of articles placed in a box and the blind folded person has to correctly choose the article. The more number of correct articles picked up by the group makes the winning group list. In this game, six groups took part and they were happy to become blind folded and pick up the articles. In both the games, participants were given éclairs and winner were given perk chocolate. Thereafter these classes were interchanged so that every group of school students got chance to play both the games.

It was a day of fun and frolic for the school students and they thoroughly enjoyed the two hours that we spent with them. A photo session was held in the school premises consisting of college UG Students, HOD’s, Faculties of IPER, School Students and their Teacher Ms. Nirmala Verma. The Principal Ms. Asha Saxena was deputed on training, hence was not present at that moment, and however had given consent earlier for the conduction of the program as well as agreed to accept Memento on behalf of IPER College. Dr. Trupti Dave, HOD Management IPER UG presented the Thanks letter for allowing the program and Dr. Upasana Sharma, HOD Commerce IPER UG presented the Memento.
