Handel’s Messiah: The BCAE and Handel + Haydn Take You Behind the Music

BOSTON - Nov. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- George Frideric Handel’s Messiah is one of the world’s most famous works of classical music and its Hallelujah Chorus has become synonymous with the Christmas season. On Wednesday, November 18th, 2015, The Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) is giving students the opportunity to go behind the music with an exclusive class led by Handel + Haydn Society. Beginning at 7:30PM students will join Teresa M. Neff for a one-of-a-kind discussion of the work’s universal appeal and Boston's unique 200-year-old association with the piece.

The conversation will be marked by recordings of select highlights and wassail and mince pies. Guests will also get to experience the magic of the music firsthand. Tuition includes a ticket for Handel + Haydn’s performance of Handel’s Messiah on Friday, November 27th at 7:30 at Symphony Hall.
