By: Zom Sawyer Zom Sawyer will be performing "Graffiti" the new single from their upcoming album, during their release show with collaborative alternative punk rock group The IMPLANTS consisting of Rob Ramos, Chris Dalley, Chris Del Rio, Jim Blowers, and Ken Conte, five musicians, friends from the bands Strung Out, Pulley, Ten Foot Pole, The Tank & Death By Stereo. "Grafitti", the new single from Zom Sawyer features Jesse Lawson former guitarist of Sleeping with Sirens, an American rock band from Orlando, Florida currently residing in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The band was formed in 2009 by members of For All We Know, Broadway, and Paddock Park. In conjunction wih the release of the music single during their live performance on Friday, November 6th, Zom Sawyer will also be releasing a music video for their new song "Grafitti', filmed in legendary downtown Las Vegas' new art district. During an interview with the band in regards to the video filming, members Brody Knight Sawyer, and Jesse MagaƱa stated: "We knew right away that the video had to be overflowing with art and the D.I.Y. theme of spray paint graffiti. Downtown Las Vegas is already pretty abundant in cool street art, but our friends at ISI Group gave us the golden ticket in letting us shoot at their studio. The great visuals, skate ramp, and underground ambiance created a familiar party environment that gave everyone a lot of energy. The vibe of the night had a humbling sense of community to it due to loyal friends and local support, several dozen tacos from El Dorado Cantina, and a full-size keg from Beauty Bar LV. One of my favorite parts about the experience was watching the gradual transition of an empty, quiet lot to what becomes the final shot of the video. As important as it is to the lyrics and concept of the song, we almost didn't manage to fit in the story about the two "lovers" in the video. Our director Jim Stone came through last minute, however, and got us downtown to cram in some footage that really rounded out the story of the song and brought everything together. The video was also the only time we had all been together since recording the EP, and we were a bit nervous that our first time would be filmed with a group of people that were virgins to our music. All the bodies that showed up to support really got our blood pumping and before we knew it we had delivered a performance that left us all sweaty and satisfied. One of the main things we took away from the experience was seeing how everyone showed up to support the idea of local music, and then walked away liking the song and the band as much as they liked us as people. We know now moving forward that the attitude of the band is just as important as the songs, so we'll remember never to forget to have good times with good friends and always have fun playing music." The new music single "Graffiti' will be available Friday, November 6th on itunes, and other online digital music stores.
