Release of LiLi Roquelin "Abolitionistas" Song For Organization Freedom Ladder

NEW YORK - Nov. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- NY-based Recording Artist LiLi Roquelin has partnered with non-profit organization Freedom Ladder to support their mission of ending child trafficking. Both the Artist and the Organization have many remarkable achievements locally and internationally.  They are joining forces with the release of LiLi’s exclusive song for the cause, entitled “Abolitionistas”, produced by Titus.

The song release and Fundraiser are happening Thursday November 12th 2015 at Holy Apostles Ballroom in Chelsea, during an event hosted by The Set NYC. Details are below.

About the non-profit Organization “Freedom Ladder”:

The FBI estimates that there may be as many as 300,000 Americans trafficked every year and the average age is 12. NYC and the surrounding area is the biggest hub for human trafficking in the country with an estimate of 2200 children trafficked in NYC each year.

Freedom Ladder’s goal is to reach children before they’re victimized with tools that they’ll be able to use for the rest of their lives.
We partner with law enforcement agencies, child welfare organizations, and creative artists to design effective and innovative educational tools with captivating narratives that inspire young people to be the primary agents in their own self-protection.
We’ve created a comic book with the help of FBI victim specialists and distributed it through schools, youth organizations, faith communities.

NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
• Funded 2 comic books on Kickstarter and published Abolitionista! comic book.
• Educated over 1500 children about human trafficking, and empowered them to protect themselves
• Freedom Ladder's founder, Thomas Estler, was named one of New York's New Abolitionists, along with Meryl Streep, Tina Fey, Michael Bloomberg in September 2015
• Featured at 2015 Summit of Human Trafficking and State Courts, attended by over 300 chief justices and judges from all over the US.
• Featured at New York Comic Con Panel "Breaking Good: How Comic Books Address Social Justice Issues" (2014)
