FORT MYERS, Fla. - Nov. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Fans of former WINK news anchor Stacey Adams will get another opportunity to see her in December.  Adams will return as hostess of the Tux & Trees Gala, a charity fundraising auction held on Dec. 5. Adams, who retired from television in July after 22 years as a reporter and anchor, has hosted the gala five times.

Tux & Trees is part of the Festival of Trees, the signature fundraising event of the Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation. The festival features a four-day showcase of beautifully decorated trees, wreaths, and other holiday fare. This year’s festival runs Dec. 2-6, with the Tux & Trees Gala held during the evening of Dec. 5.

“We’re very lucky to have Stacey returning to Tux & Trees,” says Kirsten O’Donnell, director of public relations for Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida.  “When she told us she was leaving television, our first impulse—after congratulating her-- was to make sure she still wanted to host the gala. She agreed immediately. Stacey is a class act.”

As emcee, Adams will join auctioneer Mike Joyce of Gulfcoast Coin & Jewelry. The two have paired together at the gala three times, raising record funds for Goodwill.

“They’re like our ‘Dream Team,’” laughs O’Donnell.

Last year’s Festival and Gala raised $90,000 to support The Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation, which provides long-term financial support to programs and services of Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida.  Festival information and gala tickets are available on the events website: http://www.tuxandtrees.com.

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. is committed to assisting people with disabilities and disadvantages by providing life-changing opportunities to achieve independence. Last year, Goodwill was able to assist nearly 40,000 people across Southwest Florida, through services such as Goodwill Job-Link centers, disability-accessible housing, youth mentoring, the Goodwill L.I.F.E. Academy charter school, and the Goodwill SWFL MicroEnterprise Institute.
