Kids In The Game & Partnership Schools Run Youth Volleyball & Basketball Clinics

BRONX, N.Y. - Nov. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Kids in the Game (KinG), a provider of youth sports programs in the New York City area, is proud to announce volleyball and basketball clinics with the Partnership Schools. Partnership Schools is a network of six urban, Catholic schools in Harlem and the South Bronx that includes St. Athanasius, Sacred Heart, Immaculate Conception, Our Lady Queen of Angels, Mount Carmel Holy Rosary, and St. Mark the Evangelist School. The clinics will be held at St. Athanasius School in the South Bronx.

The volleyball clinics began on Saturday, October 17^th with over twenty-five families participating from the six partnership schools.  The clinic will run for five consecutive Saturdays and features three former NCAA volleyball players as the lead coaches. Each week, coaches focus on different skills beginning with passing over and underhand, and working all the way to defensive drills.

Following the volleyball clinics, Kids in the Game will run a second set of Saturday clinics concentrating on basketball for eight weeks beginning January 9^th.  Last year, the inaugural clinic had over eighty families participating! The basketball clinics focus on skill development including dribbling, shooting, and competitive games.  Both clinics run in two sessions: 12:30pm-1:45pm (girls) and 2:00pm-3:15pm (boys) for grades third through eighth.

According to Guesnerth Josué Perea, Director of Operations for the Partnership, "the clinics that Kids in the Game run are great to teach students teamwork, leadership and the fundamentals of sports. It has been wonderful to see all that they are learning in the clinics transfer into the other parts of their lives."

Bump, Set, Dribble, Shoot!

Kids in the Game clinics offer a complete, in-depth experience emphasizing the fundamentals of sports. Each program is designed for players at all levels, providing enriching competition for more seasoned players while offering small group instruction in skill development for those just starting to learn.
