Cavignac & Associates Hires Marisa Dunfee as Account Administrator

SAN DIEGO - Nov. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Marisa Dunfee has been hired by Cavignac & Associates to serve as an account administrator, announced Jeffrey W. Cavignac, CPCU, ARM, RPLU, president and principal of the San Diego-based risk management and commercial insurance brokerage firm.

         In her new post, Dunfee will provide support and assistance to the agency’s commercial insurance account managers and ensure the firm’s clients are well served.  Specifically, she will be responsible for processing endorsements, policies and certificates of insurance; handling billing and cancellation issues; administrative follow-up; reconciling audits; and contract review. She will also be charged with performing various account manager tasks such as preparing renewal surveys, completing applications and quotations for new or renewal coverage, processing endorsement transactions, marketing new business and renewals, and preparing proposals.

         Dunfee brings several years of insurance industry and administrative experience to her new position.  Most recently, she served as a project coordinator for Lockton Companies in San Diego, where she was employed for two-and-a-half years.  Previous experience includes having served as an audit associate for ICW Group, Inc. in Del Mar, Calif., program support assistant for the VA San Diego Healthcare System, and work study coordinator for the Department of Veterans Affairs, where in 2012 she coordinated the National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic.

         A graduate of National University, Dunfee holds a Bachelor or Science degree in organizational leadership.  She also earned her undergraduate certificate in human resources management and an Associates Degree in general insurance.

         A military veteran, Dunfee received a Flag Letter of Commendation from the U.S. Navy in 2005, as well as U.S. Navy Good Conduct medals in 2006 and 2009 and Navy and Marine Corp Achievement medals in 2007 and 2009.  She is a member of the Women’s Auxiliary American Legion, Post #3.

         Born in Wheeling, W.Va., and raised in Moundsville, W.Va., Dunfee currently resides in the San Diego community of North Park.  In her leisure time, she enjoys hiking; cooking healthy, vegan, locally grown food; traveling; and experiencing various cultures around the world.  She is a proud supporter of the Beagle Freedom Project and participates in activities to help end animal cruelty.  She also has been a supporter of the 2013, 2014 and 2015 March Against Monsanto and the Go Organic Movement.
