Sweet Dreamzzz will serve 623 at-risk children in Pontiac with sleep educationSweet Dreamzzz will serve 623 at-risk children in Pontiac with sleep education WHO: The students of WHRC Elementary School in Pontiac and Sweet Dreamzzz, Inc. WHAT: Sweet Dreamzzz, Inc. will be hosting a R.E.M. (Rest. Educate. Motivate.) Sleep Education Program at WHRC Elementary School in Pontiac. The 623 students at WHRC will be educated on what it takes to create a proper bedtime routine, as well as the number of hours of sleep they need to get each night and why sleep is so important. Additionally, each child will receive a sleep kit, containing either a sleeping bag or fleece blanket, a Sweet Dreamzzz t-shirt, a reading book and a toothbrush and toothpaste. This program is funded by The Village Club Foundation. Volunteers from Burberry at Somerset packed all of the sleep kits needed for this program, and senior students from Divine Child High School made the fleece blankets for the kindergartners and first graders. The students from Divine Child not only made the blankets but will also be helping with program set-up and day of distribution. Volunteers from Sweet Dreamzzz partner, Reverie, will also help distribute the sleep kits at the program. Two Men and a Truck are delivering all kits, blankets and sleeping bags.
