Governor Asa Hutchinson Proclaims Arkansas Week for the Animals October 24- November 1, 2015!

During this extraordinary week, community leaders and humane organizations across Arkansas will be hosting wonderful animal-related events. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens everywhere will be joining to celebrate and help animals!

Oct. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Animal World USA is pleased to announce Governor Asa Hutchinson has officially proclaimed 6th Annual Arkansas Week for the Animals October 24-November 1, 2015!  During the exciting week, animal shelters, rescue groups, and humane organizations across the state will be hosting wonderful animal-related special events which will be saving lives, building relationships, helping animals and strengthening communities.

Events will include adoption events across the state, spay/neuter events, R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries, Halloween festivals, animal awareness activities, book donations, BINGO for homeless animals, feral cat education, horse events, pet food donations, critter camps, wildlife activities, bird tours/activities, donation drives, offsite activities to benefit shelters and therapy animals visiting hospitals.

Also to be included are a salute to our working K-9 and handlers, care & safety seminars,vegetarian meetups, low cost vaccinations, educational & tabling events and fun-filled festivals for families to enjoy friendship, food, music on behalf of the always amazing animals and there is much more being planned! Scores of precious lives will be saved and new relationships will be built during the exciting week.
