Marsden’s new axle weigher designed to keep wagons rolling

Oct. 22, 2015 - PRLog -- Industrial scales manufacturer Marsden Group has launched a brand new portable device for weighing vehicles, allowing them to stay legally and efficiently loaded. The AP200 is a wireless axle weighing scale, allowing cars, vans and lorries to be weighed quickly either at a depot or warehouse, or on the move. The two portable weighing pads can withstand regular, daily use, and the battery powered indicator, housed in a carry case, has a 30 metre working distance.

The indicator is touchscreen operated, and can either static or motion weigh. USB and RS232 ports mean data can be transferred to a printer or PC, although the indicator also has a 4GB memory.

The AP200 has been launched to allow freight hauliers to stay within the law with correctly loaded vehicles. Individual axle weighing also means vehicles can be loaded evenly, to help maximise fuel efficiency and reduce wear and tear

Richard Black, Managing Director at Marsden Group, said: “We’ve had many requests for a vehicle weighing solution that allows vehicles to be weighed on the move. The AP200 is portable enough to fit in the back of a wagon so that it can be weighed at origin or destination or anywhere in between. It’s wireless, too, so much tidier and easier to set up and use no wires to split or snap!”

Marsden’s Operations Director Mark Coates added: “The AP200 is a very economically priced axle weigher that means cars, cans or lorries can stay within the law wherever they are. The indicator also allows driver and vehicle details to be entered, so it’s easy to keep track of vehicle weights.

“It has a high capacity 10 tonnes per pad and weighs in 10 kilo increments.”
