Though it’s actually a prequel to the previously released Meeting Dennis Wilson, You Don’t Think She Is, the second offering by Max Harrick Shenk, works well as a standalone novel all on its own. Set amidst the memorable backdrop of the 1960s, You Don’t Think She Is takes the reader through the eventful lives of Brian Pressley, Margo LeDoux, and Christy Kelly, who find themselves intertwined by more than just geographic proximity. Bolstered by intimate handwritten correspondence (letters, postcards, etc.), Shenk’s engaging tale is largely character driven, and he does a commendable job of making the characters likeable and intriguing enough to gauge the reader’s sustained interest.

Fans of Meeting Dennis Wilson certainly won’t want to miss You Don’t Think She Is, and the tale is sure to generate an even larger fan base for Shenk as he continues his promising literary journey.
