AURORA, Ill. - Oct. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Independent publisher, Cozy Cat Press, today announced the publication of Kate O’Connell’s latest book––Dead Man Dancing––the second in her Maddie Fitzpatrick Dance Mystery series.

In this book, Maddie brings the joy of tango dancing to the residents of a retirement home. Of course, it’s not unusual for an elderly person to die in a retirement home, unless they do so during an Argentine Tango class. So when one of Maddie’s students collapses and is later found dead under suspicious circumstances, she feels obligated to find out what happened. The investigation takes an unexpected turn when it’s revealed that the dead man held a salacious photograph of Maddie in his fist at the time of his death, and is further complicated when Maddie’s former boyfriend Craig unexpectedly shows up in town, opening a whole new can of worms for the young dance teacher. Maddie's current beau, detective Joe Clancy, forbids her from teaching at the retirement home to protect her, but Maddie is determined to continue giving her lessons and to track down her student's killer. Can she discover who it is before her present boyfriend and her former boyfriend come to blows? If anyone can, it’s Maddie Fitzpatrick, Argentine Tango teacher extraordinaire.

Author Kate O’Connell received her BA in Theatre and History, her MA in Dance History and Criticism and her MPhil in Dance Studies. Her research focused on the Argentine Tango and while learning about the dance, she started teaching and performing in London. She writes about Argentine Tango now, from a seaside village in South Africa, writing and dancing barefoot as much as she possibly can. Her first Maddie Fitzpatrick Dance Mystery, Dying to Dance was published by Cozy Cat Press in 2014. She’s currently hard at work on the third installment Dance or Die.
