Magnolias of Lancaster welcomes new members to leadership team

LANCASTER, Pa. - Oct. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Magnolias of Lancaster recently welcomed two members to its leadership team.

    Heather Miller has been named Executive Director at the senior living community located at 1870 Rohrerstown Road in Lancaster. Donna Handwerk is the new Director of Resident Care Services.

    “Heather and Donna bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Magnolias of Lancaster team,” said Eric Walker, Director of Sales and Marketing at IntegraCare, which operates Magnolias of Lancaster. “Their addition to the team will have a positive impact on our residents and the entire community.”

     Miller, 43, brings a strong business background to her role as Executive Director. She spent 15 years as a business office manager and had more than five years of experience in managing the operations of a personal care home.

    “I don’t just want us to be good at what we do here at Magnolias of Lancaster,” Miller said. “I want us to be fantastic at what we do. I have no doubt in my mind that with the dedication and talent of our team members, there is no limit to what we may achieve.”

    Miller grew up in Gilbertsville, a small, rural town in Pennsylvania. She earned a degree at Cabrini College. Miller established a reputation as a strong leader.

    “I have always wholeheartedly believed in working in unison as a team,” Miller said. “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, and working together is success. This is how I see a team and my goal is to keep this at the forefront of my mind at all times, so I never forget the goal.”

    Handwerk grew up in Dover, Delaware, and served in the U.S. Army National Guard 116^th  Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) Unit from 1989 to 1997. She was a Medical Specialist/EMT and has been a LPN since 1995. Her husband is retired from the U.S. Airforce.

    “I am excited to be a part of the Magnolias of Lancaster team,” Handwerk said. “Our residents are part of our Magnolias ‘family,’ and we take pride in caring for them and addressing their needs.”
