Attention in the Pits!

From Thunder Road Raceway in Gilliam Louisiana,

It is with deepest regret that we must announce the cancelation of the Thanksgiving Race November 26-29^th – Gilliam 2015 Hosted by Ken and Molly Hall

As we prepared for this year’s first Thanksgiving event at TRRP, we were excited about the racers response, including both pre-ticketing sales and volunteer recruitment. However, Ken and Molly Hall (Event Promoters) unfortunately have struggled with getting the proper sponsorship to guarantee the events $50,000 purse so late in the season. The “Halls” had been working with a number of great local people to get ahead of these challenges but with just a month left before the event we (together) had to make the difficult, but necessary decision to cancel this year’s Thanksgiving event.

Thunder Road Motorsports remains committed to our Racers and the community to continue to offer quality events with guaranteed purses.  Again, we are deeply sorry for any unfulfilled expectations that this may cause in our racing family.

We look forward to see you during our 2016 season opener!
