Branding: Why is it Essential?

(ALBANY, NY) – The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association (NYCRAMA) announces its 2015 October Morning Roundtable Discussion, "Branding: Why is it Essential?”,Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Professor Java's Coffee Sanctuary, 217 Wolf Road, Albany, NY 12205, from 7:45am – 9:00am. Join NYCRAMA for a morning roundtable discussion facilitated by Daquetta Jones, Executive Director of the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region (YWCA-GCR). Co-facilitating the discussion with Jones is Malissa Pilette-McClenon, YWCA-GCR's Director of Development and Marketing. Attendees will learn how branding impacts an organization and its mission. They will hear examples of how to drive compliance to branding standards and requirements within an organization and the positives effects that result from doing so. Attendees will learn how to build relationships through brand consistency, with a particular focus on national organizations.

Daquetta P. Jones was announced as the new Executive Director of the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region, Inc. in Troy, New York in December, 2013. Ms. Jones came to the YWCA-GCR from Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Services in Albany, New York, where she was the Operations Manager of HIV Services.

Malissa Pilette-McClenon has been designing, coordinating, and strategically implementing successful marketing and development campaigns for more than 12 years. Pilette-McClenon is a National Merit Scholar and five-time Dean's List recipient.

“Branding represents the very heartbeat of a solid business plan. It is important to remind ourselves that consistency of brand throughout all marketing channels is critical,” said Ann Marie Lizzi, president of NYCRAMA.

Cost is $15 for AMA members and students; $20 for nonmembers.Pre-registration is preferred via bit.ly/nycrama-2015-branding-why-is-it-essential. Walk-ins are also welcome. Cash or check will be accepted at the door.
