Styrene and Exposure Concerns Discussed in New Video

PHOENIX - Oct. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Today, the IAQ Video Network and Cochrane & Associates announced the release of their latest educational video.  Their newest production discusses exposure concerns to the volatile organic compound (VOC) known as styrene.

“Styrene is used in the manufacturing of many products, but for the general population one greatest sources of exposure to this VOC is from cigarette smoke,” said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, the company behind the IAQ Video Network.  “In the work environment, OSHA reports that about 90,000 workers are potentially exposed to this compound. Exposure may irritate the eyes, nose, throat and respiratory system and cause numerous other health effects. We hope this new video helps to educate workers and the public about exposure risks to styrene.”
